I grew up in a tight-knit family where hard work and respect were daily lessons. After losing my father at a young age, my mom raised me and my two siblings, teaching us that nothing in life is free and that reliability and attention to detail go a long way. I started out mowing lawns and cleaning gutters in my neighborhood, and when I wasn’t working, I was usually at the gym, fishing, or spending time with friends and family.
My first real landscaping job was in North Raleigh, maintaining 15–20 residential properties and assisting with installation work. After high school, I joined a large commercial company where I gained hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, managing crews, and installing sod, plants, irrigation, and hardscapes. Over the past decade in the green industry, I’ve learned that growth never stops and every day brings something new. Inspired by my father and grandfather, I decided to start my own company — Healthy Roots Landscaping NC LLC, founded in November 2020 and based in Apex, North Carolina. Today, I remain fully involved in every project — from the initial consultation and design to completion — ensuring each client receives personal attention and high-quality service.
